(How to live?)

Empower students to make wise choices

  • Do the right things at the right time and place
  • Distinguish right from wrong
  • Be inquisitive: eager to learn new things and learn from others
  • Be reflective
  • See things from multiple perspectives
  • Embrace a growth mindset

The heart of the intelligent acquires learning, the ears of the wise search for knowledge.

(Proverbs 18:15)

Listen to advice, accept correction, to be the wiser in the time to come. (Proverbs 19:20)

The truth

(How to live out the truth with others?)

Cultivate students' ability to make compassionate judgments
  • Uphold moral and catholic values
  • Think thoroughly before making decisions
  • Be empathetic and make compassionate judgements: consider others’ situations and concerns

Do not model your behaviour on the contemporary world, but let the renewing of your minds transform you, so that you may discern for yourselves what is the will of God -- what is good and acceptable and mature.

(Romans 12:2)

Wise people store up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool makes ruin imminent.

(Proverbs 10:14)

(Community)

Contributing to our community and the World

The life

(How to live a flourishing life?)

Create opportunities for students to work for the common good
  • Develop the values and sense of social responsibility needed to consistently act in service of the greater good
  • Cultivate compassion and a willingness to help the community
  • Make choices and engage in activities that prioritize the well-being of all, rather than just individual interests

The wisdom that comes down from above is essentially something pure; it is also peaceable, kindly and considerate; it is full of mercy and shows itself by doing good.

(James 3:17)

As long as we have the opportunity let all our actions be for the good of everybody, and especially of those who belong to the household of the faith.

(Galatians 6:10)
